Use Quicktion in ChatGPT

Quicktion is available as a plugin in ChatGPT. Once connected, you can ask ChatGPT to save an email into any of your destinations, list your destinations, or tell you what you saved recently. The save goes through the same pipeline as a forwarded email: your property mappings, default values and AI Processing all apply.

Connect Quicktion to ChatGPT

  1. Open Quicktion in the ChatGPT plugin directory and click Install plugin. You can also search for Quicktion in the directory inside ChatGPT.
  2. ChatGPT sends you to a page on quicktion.io. Sign in if you need to.
  3. Check what ChatGPT is asking for (see your destinations, save emails, see recent saves) and click Allow.
  4. You're back in ChatGPT. The connection is ready.

You only do this once. If you ever want to redo it, remove the plugin in ChatGPT and add it again.

Ask ChatGPT to save an email

Open or paste an email in ChatGPT and tell it where to save it, by destination name. A few prompts that work:

  • "Save this email to my Client CRM in Quicktion."
  • "File this in the Invoices sheet."
  • "Which Quicktion destinations do I have?"
  • "What did I save to Quicktion this week?"

ChatGPT confirms before saving and replies with a link to the Notion page, sheet row, Airtable record, Linear issue, Trello card or Drive folder it created.

If you have several destinations, name the one you mean. If you don't, ChatGPT asks.

What gets saved

The subject, sender, recipients, date and body of the email, saved exactly as a forwarded email would be:

Attachments are not included yet. When an email has attachments you need, forward it or save it from the Gmail add-on instead.

Limits

Saves from ChatGPT count toward your monthly limit like any other save. When you hit the limit, ChatGPT tells you and nothing is saved; see plans and pricing for the numbers.

Disconnect ChatGPT

Go to Settings → Connected apps in your Quicktion dashboard and click Disconnect next to ChatGPT. New saves stop immediately. Emails that were already saved stay where they are.

Using Quicktion with Claude and other assistants

The same connection works in any assistant that supports MCP servers. In Claude, add a custom connector with the URL https://quicktion.io/mcp and approve it the same way. It shows up under Connected apps too.

For the forwarding and add-on ways of saving, see set up email forwarding and install the Gmail add-on.
