What lands in Drive when an email is saved?

One folder per email, inside the folder you picked. It holds email.pdf (the message rendered as a PDF, with a header block for sender, recipients, date and subject), email.html (the original HTML) and every attachment under its original filename.

Can I choose which Drive folder emails go into?

Yes. When you create the destination you either pick an existing folder through the Google file picker, or let Quicktion create one for you. Each destination points at exactly one folder, so receipts and client work can live in different places with different forwarding addresses.

Can I control how the folders are named?

Each destination has a name pattern you can edit. It takes {date}, {subject}, {sender} and {domain}, and the default is {date}_{subject} so folders sort chronologically. Names are trimmed and cleaned of characters Drive doesn't like, and an email with no subject gets filed under "no subject".

What happens to attachments?

They're always saved, with the names they arrived with. Inline images (the ones in signatures and headers) are the exception: they show up inside the PDF where they belong, rather than as separate files cluttering the folder.

Does Quicktion need access to my whole Google Drive?

No. The permission Quicktion asks for is drive.file, which covers the folder you pick and the files Quicktion puts in it. It can't list, open or change anything else in your Drive. If you already connected Google for a Sheets destination, that same connection covers Drive with no new consent screen.

Does this work with shared drives?

Not yet. Destinations point at a folder in your own My Drive. You can share that folder with anyone through Drive's normal sharing, which covers most team setups, but a folder inside a shared drive isn't supported at the moment.

How close is the PDF to the original email?

Receipts, invoices, confirmations and everyday business email come out looking like the email. Elaborate marketing HTML sometimes renders differently, and that's why the original email.html sits next to the PDF in every folder. Open it in a browser and you have the message exactly as the sender built it.
