Install the Gmail Add-on
Find Quicktion in the Google Workspace Marketplace
You can install the Quicktion Gmail add-on in two ways:
- Direct link -- Go to the Quicktion listing on the Google Workspace Marketplace.
- Search -- Open the Google Workspace Marketplace, type "Quicktion" in the search bar, and select it from the results.
Install the Add-on
Click the Install button on the Quicktion listing page. Google will ask you to review and grant the required permissions:
- Read your email messages -- Quicktion reads the email you choose to save so it can extract the subject, sender, date, body, and attachments.
- Connect to an external service -- Quicktion connects to the Quicktion server and the Notion API to save your emails.
Click Allow to finish the installation.
Open the Add-on in Gmail
After installation, open Gmail in your browser. Look at the right sidebar -- the narrow icon strip where you see Google Calendar, Keep, and other add-on icons. The Quicktion icon will appear there.
Click the Quicktion icon to open the add-on panel in the sidebar.
If you don't see the sidebar, click the small arrow at the bottom-right of Gmail to expand it.
First-Time Setup
Sign in
The first time you open the Quicktion panel, you will be prompted to sign in with your Google account. This links your Gmail to your Quicktion account.
Connect your Notion workspace
After signing in, click Connect Notion. You will be redirected to Notion's authorization page. Select the workspace you want to use and grant Quicktion access to the databases where you want to save emails.
Once connected, the add-on is ready. Open any email and click the Quicktion icon to start saving emails to Notion.
