Connect Your Notion Workspace
Before you can save emails to Notion, you need to connect your Notion workspace to Quicktion. This gives Quicktion permission to create pages in your databases on your behalf.
Start the Connection
- Sign in to your Quicktion dashboard at quicktion.io.
- Click Connect Notion.
- A new window will open with Notion's authorization screen.
If the window doesn't appear, check that your browser isn't blocking pop-ups for quicktion.io.
Authorize Quicktion in Notion
Notion will ask you to grant Quicktion access. There are two things to pay attention to on this screen:
Select the right workspace
If you belong to multiple Notion workspaces, make sure the correct one is selected in the top-right corner of the authorization screen. You can only connect one workspace at a time.
Choose which pages to share
Notion lets you control exactly which pages and databases Quicktion can access. You have two options:
- Select specific pages/databases -- Pick only the databases you plan to use as email destinations. This is the most restrictive option.
- Select all pages -- Gives Quicktion access to everything in your workspace. Simpler if you're not sure which databases you'll use yet, or if you plan to create new ones later.
Quicktion only writes to the databases you explicitly choose when creating destinations. It won't modify anything else in your workspace.
Once you've made your selection, click Allow access.
Verify the Connection
After authorizing, you'll be redirected back to the Quicktion dashboard. Your Notion workspace should now appear under your connected integrations.
If you see it listed, you're all set. You can now create your first destination.
Troubleshooting
The authorization window didn't open
Your browser may be blocking pop-ups. Allow pop-ups for quicktion.io and try again.
The connection failed or nothing appeared
- Make sure you clicked Allow access on the Notion screen (not "Cancel").
- Check that you're logged into the correct Notion account in your browser.
- Try disconnecting and reconnecting by clicking Connect Notion again.
I connected the wrong workspace
Go to the Quicktion dashboard, delete the incorrect integration, and click Connect Notion again. This time, select the correct workspace from the dropdown on the Notion authorization screen.
I didn't share the right databases
You can update which pages Quicktion can access at any time. Go to your Notion settings, find Quicktion under Connections, and adjust the page access. Alternatively, disconnect and reconnect from the Quicktion dashboard to go through the selection again.
