Connect Your Google Account

Before you can save emails to Google Sheets, you need to connect your Google account to Quicktion. This gives Quicktion permission to write to your spreadsheets and upload attachments to Google Drive.

Start the Connection

  1. Sign in to your Quicktion dashboard at quicktion.io.
  2. Click Connect Google.
  3. A new window will open with Google's authorization screen.

If the window doesn't appear, check that your browser isn't blocking pop-ups for quicktion.io.

Authorize Quicktion

Google will ask you to grant Quicktion access. The permissions requested are:

  • Google Sheets — Quicktion needs access to read and write to your spreadsheets so it can append email data as rows.
  • Google Drive — Quicktion uploads email attachments (PDFs, images, documents) to a folder in your Drive and links them in the spreadsheet.

Select the Google account you want to use and click Allow.

Select a Spreadsheet

After authorizing, you'll be prompted to select a spreadsheet:

  1. A file picker will open showing your Google Drive.
  2. Choose an existing spreadsheet or create a new one.
  3. Select the sheet tab within the spreadsheet where emails should be saved.

Quicktion will create column headers automatically on the first email save if the sheet is empty.

Verify the Connection

After completing the setup, your Google account should appear under your connected integrations in the Quicktion dashboard.

If you see it listed, you're all set. You can now create your first destination.

Troubleshooting

The authorization window didn't open

Your browser may be blocking pop-ups. Allow pop-ups for quicktion.io and try again.

The connection failed or nothing appeared

  • Make sure you clicked Allow on the Google screen (not "Cancel" or "Deny").
  • Check that you're logged into the correct Google account in your browser.
  • Try disconnecting and reconnecting by clicking Connect Google again.

I connected the wrong Google account

Go to the Quicktion dashboard, delete the incorrect Google integration, and click Connect Google again. This time, make sure to select the correct Google account.

Permission denied error

If you see a "Permission denied" error, your Google Workspace administrator may have restricted third-party app access. Contact your admin to allow Quicktion, or try with a personal Google account.
