Connect Your Airtable Account
Before you can save emails to Airtable, you need to connect your Airtable account to Quicktion. This gives Quicktion permission to create records in your tables and upload attachments.
Start the Connection
- Sign in to your Quicktion dashboard at quicktion.io.
- Click Connect Airtable.
- A new window will open with Airtable's authorization screen.
If the window doesn't appear, check that your browser isn't blocking pop-ups for quicktion.io.
Authorize Quicktion
Airtable will ask you to grant Quicktion access. You'll choose which bases to share:
- Select bases -- Pick the specific bases you want Quicktion to access, or grant access to all bases in your workspace.
- Permissions -- Quicktion needs read and write access to create records and upload attachments.
Click Grant access to complete the authorization.
Select a Base and Table
After authorizing, you'll be prompted to select a base and table:
- Choose the Airtable base where emails should be saved.
- Choose the table within that base.
- Quicktion will read your table's field schema to enable field mapping.
Verify the Connection
After completing the setup, your Airtable account should appear under your connected integrations in the Quicktion dashboard.
If you see it listed, you're all set. You can now create your first destination.
Troubleshooting
The authorization window didn't open
Your browser may be blocking pop-ups. Allow pop-ups for quicktion.io and try again.
The connection failed or nothing appeared
- Make sure you clicked Grant access on the Airtable screen (not "Cancel" or "Deny").
- Check that you're logged into the correct Airtable account in your browser.
- Try disconnecting and reconnecting by clicking Connect Airtable again.
I connected the wrong Airtable account
Go to the Quicktion dashboard, delete the incorrect Airtable integration, and click Connect Airtable again. This time, make sure to select the correct Airtable account.
My base doesn't appear in the list
During the Airtable authorization step, you may not have granted access to that base. Disconnect the integration in Quicktion and reconnect, making sure to select the correct bases during authorization.
Permission denied error
If you see a "Permission denied" error, you may not have the required permissions on the Airtable base. You need at least Creator or Editor access to the base. Contact your Airtable workspace admin if needed.
