Connect Your Trello Workspace

Before you can save emails to Trello, you need to connect your Trello workspace to Quicktion. This gives Quicktion permission to create cards on your boards and upload attachments.

Start the Connection

  1. Sign in to your Quicktion dashboard at quicktion.io.
  2. Click Connect Trello.
  3. A new window will open with Atlassian's authorization screen.

If the window doesn't appear, check that your browser isn't blocking pop-ups for quicktion.io.

Authorize Quicktion

Atlassian will ask you to grant Quicktion access to your Trello workspace:

  • Read access -- Quicktion reads your boards, lists, labels, and members to let you configure destinations.
  • Write access -- Quicktion creates cards and uploads attachments when you save an email.

Click Allow to complete the authorization.

Select a Board and List

After authorizing, you'll be prompted to select a board and list:

  1. Choose the Trello board where emails should be saved as cards.
  2. Choose the list within that board where new cards should land.
  3. Optionally configure labels, members, and card position (top or bottom of the list).

Verify the Connection

After completing the setup, your Trello workspace should appear under your connected integrations in the Quicktion dashboard.

If you see it listed, you're all set. You can now create your first destination.

Troubleshooting

The authorization window didn't open

Your browser may be blocking pop-ups. Allow pop-ups for quicktion.io and try again.

The connection failed or nothing appeared

  • Make sure you clicked Allow on the Atlassian authorization screen (not "Cancel" or "Deny").
  • Check that you're logged into the correct Atlassian account in your browser.
  • Try disconnecting and reconnecting by clicking Connect Trello again.

I connected the wrong Trello workspace

Go to the Quicktion dashboard, delete the incorrect Trello integration, and click Connect Trello again. This time, make sure to select the correct Atlassian account that has access to your target workspace.

My board doesn't appear in the list

Make sure the board is not closed (archived) in Trello. Quicktion only shows open boards. If the board belongs to a different Trello workspace, you may need to connect that workspace separately.

Permission denied error

If you see a "Permission denied" error, you may not have the required permissions on the Trello board. You need at least normal member access to the board. Contact your Trello workspace admin if needed.
