Connect Your Linear Workspace

Before you can save emails to Linear, you need to connect your Linear workspace to Quicktion. This gives Quicktion permission to create issues and manage data in your workspace.

Start the Connection

  1. Sign in to your Quicktion dashboard at quicktion.io.
  2. Click Connect Linear.
  3. A new window will open with Linear's authorization screen.

If the window doesn't appear, check that your browser isn't blocking pop-ups for quicktion.io.

Authorize Quicktion

Linear will ask you to grant Quicktion access to your workspace. The authorization is workspace-level, meaning Quicktion will be able to access teams and projects within that workspace.

  • Scopes -- Quicktion requests read and write access so it can create issues and read your workspace's teams, projects, and labels.
  • Workspace selection -- If you belong to multiple Linear workspaces, make sure you're logged into the correct one before authorizing.

Click Authorize to complete the connection.

Verify the Connection

After completing the setup, your Linear workspace should appear under your connected integrations in the Quicktion dashboard.

If you see it listed, you're all set. You can now create your first destination.

Troubleshooting

The authorization window didn't open

Your browser may be blocking pop-ups. Allow pop-ups for quicktion.io and try again.

The connection failed or nothing appeared

  • Make sure you clicked Authorize on the Linear screen (not "Cancel" or "Deny").
  • Check that you're logged into the correct Linear workspace in your browser.
  • Try disconnecting and reconnecting by clicking Connect Linear again.

I connected the wrong workspace

Go to the Quicktion dashboard, delete the incorrect Linear integration, and click Connect Linear again. This time, make sure you're logged into the correct Linear workspace before authorizing.

Permission error

If you see a permission error during authorization, you may not have the required role in your Linear workspace. You need to be a member with permission to create issues. Contact your Linear workspace admin if needed.
