Google Sheets Connection Issues
If emails aren't being saved to your Google spreadsheet or you're seeing connection errors, work through the steps below.
"Access Denied" or "Unauthorized" Error
This usually means your Google access token has expired or been revoked.
Fix: Reconnect your Google account.
- Go to your Quicktion dashboard.
- Delete the existing Google integration.
- Click Connect Google and authorize Quicktion again.
- Update your destination to use the new integration if needed.
Google tokens can expire after extended periods of inactivity, or if you changed your Google password or revoked access from your Google account settings.
"Spreadsheet Not Found" Error
This means Quicktion can't find or access the spreadsheet linked to your destination.
Common causes:
- The spreadsheet was deleted or moved to trash — Restore it from Google Drive trash, or select a new spreadsheet in destination settings.
- Sharing permissions changed — If the spreadsheet is in a shared drive or was shared with you, check that you still have edit access.
- Wrong Google account — If you connected a different Google account than the one that owns the spreadsheet, you may not have access.
Fix: Go to your destination settings and re-select the spreadsheet using the file picker.
"Could Not Connect" During Setup
If the connection fails during initial setup:
- Check pop-up blockers — The Google authorization window opens as a pop-up. Make sure your browser allows pop-ups from quicktion.io.
- Try a different browser — Some browser extensions can interfere with OAuth flows. Try in an incognito window or a different browser.
- Check your Google account — Make sure you're signed into the correct Google account. If you have multiple accounts, Google may default to the wrong one.
Attachments Not Appearing in Drive
If emails are being saved but attachments aren't showing up:
- Check Drive permissions — Quicktion needs Google Drive access to upload attachments. If you denied Drive access during authorization, reconnect and grant all requested permissions.
- Check the attachment column — Make sure your destination has an attachment column mapped. Without it, Quicktion won't attempt to upload attachments.
How to Reconnect Your Google Account
- Go to your Quicktion dashboard.
- Find the Google integration and click Delete.
- Click Connect Google.
- Complete the authorization flow, making sure to grant both Sheets and Drive permissions.
- Update any destinations that were using the old integration.
